Rocky Resort was the most luxurious resort we stayed at in
Thailand. It lies north of the town of Lamai. Rocky is quite
simply a wonderful place with a lot of atmosphere. The houses
were clean and nice and located in an idyllic position in
the resort, surrounded by trees and plants well cared for
by the numerous gardeners.
The family gathered for a good meal
There is a lovely restaurant with excellent food. Rocky is
well known, amongst other things, for its delicious pizzas
which were much in demand by the youngsters. There is also
a wide variety of freshly caught fish and different Thai specialities.
The food is generally of a very high quality here, and the
tables are beautifully laid out with white tablecloths, traditional
Thai fabrics and fresh orchids. The staff are lovely and very
attentive.
Next to the restaurant is a lovely pool with a children’s
bathing area. In addition there is a larger pool within the
resort which is perfect for swimming lengths, and a private
beach which belongs to the resort.
Romantic music during dinner
There is live music nearly every evening with different bands
and musicians. Even though the resort is quite up-market and
luxurious it also has a very relaxing and cosy atmosphere
which makes you feel right at home. Rocky Resort is perfect
for families with children, couples and friends travelling
together.
Rocky Resort massage – the house by the water
The resort has it’s own ’massage parlour’
where guests can reserve a time for a massage. It is an attractive
open hut with pretty white curtains to protect you from the
sun, located right at the water’s edge.

We had the pleasure of seeing a wedding (from the side lines!)
This took place in the massage hut which was decorated with
flowers. It looked like an amazingly beautiful and moving
arrangement, so if you are thinking of getting married, we
can recommend Rocky Resort.
